In our latest ⭐Spotlight on…⭐ post, meet Tony Amor, Head of SHEQ.

“My day usually involves a mix of supporting teams across the business, reviewing and developing safety, health, environmental and quality processes, and making sure we’re meeting both legal requirements and our own high standards. I spend a lot of time working with colleagues and clients to offer practical advice, reviewing documentation, and helping resolve issues before they become problems. There’s also a strong focus on continuous improvement – looking at how we can do things better, more safely and more efficiently, while embedding a positive SHEQ culture throughout the business, reviewing any incidents that have occurred and working with colleagues to resolve and prevent reoccurrence.

“I greatly value having the opportunity to shape and strengthen how SHEQ supports the wider business, rather than sitting alongside it. I’ve really enjoyed getting stuck into improving systems, standards and ways of working, and seeing how good safety, health, environmental and quality practices genuinely help teams do their jobs better. I’m particularly excited by projects that focus on consistency, continual improvement and making SHEQ practical and accessible, so it’s something people actively engage with rather than see as a tick-box exercise. A good example of this is the introduction and celebration of our first Health & Safety Ambassador award, given at the end of last year to Sam Weaver.”
