WELCOME TO ROCK COMPLIANCE SUNDERLAND

Sunderland, Tyne and Wear, is the site of Rock Compliance’s North East office. Handy for Durham, Gateshead, Newcastle and many other busy, vibrant areas, it’s a great place to have a base. As well as being a Team Rock location in its own right, the Sunderland office is also used by supervisors and engineers from elsewhere when they are on the road and need to call in to a Rock Compliance workplace.

Rock Compliance Sunderland offers the full range of compliance services – water hygiene, air hygiene, water treatment, mechanical and electrical compliance, pre-commissioning and commissioning, and training. So whatever your compliance concern, the Sunderland team is here to help!

Why we love Sunderland…

Sunderland’s shipbuilding industry lasted over six centuries, during which time it had over 400 registered shipyards and became the largest shipbuilding town in the world. Sadly, Sunderland’s last remaining shipyards were closed in 1988, but the Port of Sunderland still operates.

Health is now the largest employer in the North East.  Sunderland Royal Hospital has over 900 patient beds.  It recently received recognition for being one of the most digitally advanced organisations in the NHS.  We work with hospitals throughout the UK, delivering compliance services to support patient safety – visit our Healthcare pages to learn more.

Visitors to Sunderland have no shortage or variety of things to do – walk to the Roker lighthouse, catch a show at the Empire Theatre, admire the exhibits at the Sunderland Winter Gardens and Museum, or climb the steps to the Penshaw Monument, a memorial in the style of an ancient Greek temple built in honour of the first Earl of Durham.

Interesting fact

Eccles Cake, Bakewell Tart, Battenburg (though we’re not sure about that one) – many places have a sweet treat associated with them, and Sunderland’s no different. The Pink Slice is two pieces of shortbread sandwiched together with jam and covered in pink icing. We think there’s nothing not to like there, and we’re sure the staff at Rock Compliance Sunderland often pop out for a Pink Slice mid-morning.
