Creating a culture of safety

As a Safety Ambassador, Sam will be responsible for cascading best practice throughout the teams, supporting other staff on their health and safety journey and providing advice and guidance when needed.  As well as being great for the company, the award aids Sam’s own personal and career development.  In addition to receiving a certificate and gift voucher, he will also be attending a Managing Safety course run by the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH).

Sam says, “Everyone should go home safe and well at the end of the day, and that only happens when we all take responsibility and look out for one another.  It’s more than just following rules – it’s about creating a culture where safety is part of who we are and how we work.”

He goes on to praise Tony, saying, “I want to recognise the huge difference Tony Amor has made in shaping our health and safety culture.  Through his energy, leadership, and genuine passion for keeping people safe, he’s helped us move from meeting requirements to really living and breathing safety every day.  Because of Tony’s influence, health and safety aren’t just something we talk about, they’re something we all believe in. He’s helped build a stronger, more caring workplace, and that’s something we can all be proud of.”

Lewis Evans was present when Sam received his award and led the congratulations, saying, “I’m really pleased to see Sam being recognised as a Safety Ambassador.  As Property Manager for the Alcester office, I’ve seen first-hand the dedication and proactive attitude he brings to promoting a safe and positive working environment.  This recognition is well deserved and reflects the effort Sam puts into supporting colleagues and upholding our health and safety standards.  Congratulations, Sam – you’re a great example of putting our values into action!
