A nasty find at a site survey

This photograph of a supply air fan in a school plant room highlights the importance of regular checks on ventilation systems, filtration and external grilles. It shows what is left of the unfortunate seagulls that entered the system from the outside vent and were sucked into the fan.  Team Rock engineers cleaned the fan thoroughly, minimising the risk of infection and ensuring the site was compliant.

Our engineers discovered this sorry scene during a site survey. We already had the water compliance contract for this group of schools and academies in the south of England and, at its request, were investigating the ventilation works with a view to cleaning the ductwork and ventilation system over the summer holidays. Rock Compliance now has the contract to clean all the ventilation systems and check the filtration and external grilles so we prevent this from happening again in the future.
