Commissioning Engineer – Birmingham

We are looking for an experienced Commissioning Engineer to join our team across the Midlands area.

You will receive all the uniform, tools and equipment you need to perform your role safely and to the highest standard. You will also be supplied with your own company vehicle with all your expenses paid, as you will be expected to travel across your region, with the requirement for some overnight stays.

Key responsibilities are: 

  • Attend customer’s pre-start site induction. Receive information on scope of works, site rules including Permit to Work arrangements, arrangements for safety, environment, welfare, security, access and emergencies.
  • Conduct pre-start Site Risk Assessment and report unsafe conditions.
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures, Method Statements and Risk Assessments.
  • Co-ordination of work with Site Manager.
  • Control of work on site including site safety risk assessment (pre-start and ongoing) and to take reasonable care for the health & safety of themselves and of those who may be affected by their acts or omissions.
  • Commissioning techniques to BSRIA & CIBSE Commissioning Water Systems Codes and BSRIA Application Guide Commissioning Air Systems in Buildings BG49 and CIBSE Commissioning Codes.

 

Commissioning Engineer Required Skills:  

  • Building effective relationships with on-site clients
  • Excellent organisation and time keeping skills working to deadlines
  • Clear and confident communication skills
  • Standards, systems, procedures, and process focused
  • Self-motivated, using own initiative, desire to learn and achieve
  • A Driving License
  • You may be required to travel around your region with the need for an occasional overnight stay.
