Chemical Technician

Due to continued business growth, we have a new opportunity for a Chemical Technician to join our dedicated team which works remotely in the North West. As a Chemical Technician your role is to maintain warehouse and stock levels and manage the preparation of chemical ready to dispatch.

Reporting into the Technical and Innovation Director some of your key responsibilities are:

• To operate the stock control system in accordance with the Company’s stock control procedures manual, and to ensure regular computer back-ups are taken.

• To arrange the ordering of the required Raw Materials, Drums, Labels and Finished products from the designated supplier.

• To provide all customers with the Safety Data Sheets for all products shipped in a timely manner and keep records.

• To manage stock levels and ensure periodic store checks are carried out

• Ensure safety showers are maintained and flushed weekly

• Complete daily forklift truck checks are undertaken and recorded

• To manufacture the chemical following the up to date version of the manufacturing work instructions.

• Assess each job for potential hazards to ensure complete safe working practices can be adhered

• Wear protective items of clothing and use appropriate safety equipment for the job being undertaken

• Report any accident, incident, damage or near miss to Supervisor

• This is a physically remanding role, requiring manual handling of heavy goods

Required Skills:

• Forklift Licence (Counterbalance & Reach Truck)

• Experience in Stock control and Warehouse management

• Exposure to handling chemicals and COSHH
