Assistant Commissioning Engineer

We are looking for an Assistant Commissioning Engineer to join our heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) team across London and the surrounding areas.

As an Assistant Commissioning Engineer your role is to provide services related to ventilation and heating & chilled water systems and domestic hot and cold-water systems.

Previous experience as an Assistant Commissioning Engineer would be beneficial, however you will be given all the training required.

You will receive all the uniform, tools and equipment you need to perform your role safely and to the highest standard. You will also be supplied with your own company vehicle with all your expenses paid, as you will be expected to travel across your region, with the requirement for some overnight stays.

key responsibilities are:

• Check equipment through pre-use checks and maintenance.
• Ensure that all calibration dates are maintained and equipment that is due for calibration is reported to the Compliance Coordinator before the due date to allow calibration to be maintained.
• Ensure that all defects in any equipment are identified and any equipment prevented from use until repaired or replaced.
• Attend customer’s pre-start site induction. Receive information on scope of works, site rules including Permit to Work arrangements; arrangements for safety, environment, welfare, security, access and emergencies.
• Conduct pre-start Site Risk Assessment and report unsafe conditions.

Assistant Commissioning Engineer Required Skills: 

• Building effective relationships with on-site clients
• Excellent organisation and time keeping skills working to deadlines
• Clear and confident communication skills
• Standards, systems, procedures, and process focused
• Self-motivated, using own initiative, desire to learn and achieve
• A full Driving License
• You may be required to travel around your region with the need for an occasional overnight stay.
